Buy the cheapest Apple OSX box -- refurb (that gives me MARSEDIT, SCRIVNER, and TEXTER),
AND
the cheapest WINDOZE 8 box I can find (that gives me Office).
Hmmm, that's about 1500 as opposed to almost 3k to buy snazzy MACBOOKPRO.
Or just limp along with lots of platform.
Argh!

tip... try using Chrome Remote Desktop on those other machines. I can keep my Windows machine on at office, and simply 'use it' from my Chromebook.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty fast, though the smaller chromebook screens are a pain to work on for 'work'.
Not perfect, but it allows us to use the portability of the ChromeOS, while clinging to the OS's that have actual programs.
