Criticism is mistaken

Interesting. At least two people -- my lawyer who reads my blog (hope he doesn't bill me for the effort) and one relative -- think that I'm "dissatisfied" with the CHROMEBOX and CHROMEBOOK.

Let's be clear, it's far far from perfect. And, I'd only recommend it for every specific uses.

Perfect for international travel. Crossing borders; it can be "cleaned" effectively. Reset it to it's factory settings and there is nothing there. No forensic evidence of anything.

Perfect for old folks who want email and web surfing. No viruses. No settings to mess up. Nothing to backup. Nothing to screw up. Again, if it's "messed up" too badly. Quick simple factory reset.

Perfect for youngsters, as long as parents control the router (i.e., load OPENDNS; not your ISP's choice).

Perfect for students who attend a University that has embraced Google. (If they haven't, they they are throwing money down the drain. And, you're paying for it as a tuition payer or taxpayer.)

I have no doubt that this is the "thinnest" client I've ever seen since 3270 emulation.

As virtualization takes over both in biz and home, this is the way of the future. imho!

No malware! No "service packs". No end user arguments about desktop support.

I love the concept. The implementation has to mature. The web services have to evolve.

But, this is the future.
